General Info

Located right in the heart of Orchard, Ippudo Shaw Centre With Bar Ippudo is a ramen restaurant that effortlessly blends comfort, energy, and refined Japanese flavors. Sitting at 1 Scotts Rd, #04-22/23 Shaw Centre, Singapore 228208, this spot feels like a reliable go-to whether you’re planning a relaxed dinner, meeting friends in groups, or simply craving a satisfying bowl of ramen after a long day.

Walking in, the atmosphere strikes a balance between casual and polished. The menu is clearly curated, focusing on well-loved Japanese classics while still offering enough variety to keep things interesting. One of the standout experiences here is the Tonkotsu Ramen. Rich, creamy, and deeply comforting, the broth feels slow-cooked and intentional, with noodles that hold their bite and soak up every bit of flavor. Alongside it, the Yokohama Iekei Ramen delivers a bolder profile, combining robust pork broth with a savory edge that feels hearty and filling without being overwhelming.

For starters and shared plates, the Spicy Boiled Gyoza deserves attention. Each piece is plump and juicy, with a gentle heat that builds rather than shocks, making it easy to enjoy even for those who prefer milder spice. The Katsuo Bakkoshi Takoyaki 5pcs adds another layer to the experience, bringing crispy exteriors, soft centers, and a smoky bonito finish that pairs well with both ramen and drinks.

Not everything here revolves around noodles, which adds to the restaurant’s appeal. The Salmon Roll is clean, fresh, and well-balanced, offering a lighter option that fits seamlessly into the menu. It’s a great contrast to the heavier dishes and works well when sharing across the table.

Service-wise, Ippudo Shaw Centre With Bar Ippudo is designed for convenience and comfort. Dinner service flows smoothly, the setting is welcoming for groups, and the availability of alcohol and spirits elevates the overall dining experience. Whether you’re dining in or opting for delivery, the consistency in flavor and presentation remains solid, something frequently reflected in positive reviews.

Altogether, this ramen restaurant stands out not because it tries to reinvent Japanese dining, but because it executes familiar favorites with care and confidence. From the thoughtfully crafted menu to its prime location and relaxed yet professional vibe, it’s a place that feels dependable, enjoyable, and genuinely satisfying every time you visit.

“ Ippudo is a name synonymous with ramen in Singapore - being one of the first few restaurants to open a store at Mandarin Gallery more than a decade ago. Known for its Tonkotsu ramen, I’m of the opinion that it is middling at best. However, this review focuses on their seasonal dipping ramen - their kombusui Tsukemen (seaweed water dipping noodles). The name may sound unappealing, but the taste is anything but. Charsiew that is thick but not dry, a dipping sauce that is both tart and salty, but not overly so. The star of the show is the noodles. A chewy, chilled noodle with some bits of kombu in it, probably one of the better noodles I’ve had in Singapore. Decor is suitable for a small group, maybe for a quick lunch. Worth a try. ”

“ Review based on the time limited tropical noodles. This noodle is served cold with diced tropical vegetables like cucumber and tomatoes soaked in a soy milk kinda broth with lime and chili oil. The sourness and spiciness were pretty mild, just there. The toppings were good, crunchy, acidic, sweet so a lot of flavours were there. The noodles were the star of the bowl, chewy and extremely ice cold, which make slurping so refreshing. It retained the mochiness throughout the bowl. Furthermore, the bowl is served with ice cubes, to ensure the bowl remains icy cold throughout. One flaw I felt was that because it was too cold, the flavours felt a little muted. I would like to retain the same level of coldness, but would like the broth flavour to be upped, as I felt it was pretty weak in body. ”

“ Seriously, this is very very good Ramen, with a very High End taste but at a reasonable price. I will be going back soon! Ippudo's ramen, it's all in the noodles and soup, period. I give them a just nice 5 Stars, not 6 Stars (Michelin Class). They are really very good in terms of the full flavour of the soup, and the al-dente of the noodle--WHICH YOU CAN CHOOSE! Yes soft, medium, or hard. Love mine, noodles HARD! The noodles has a nice bite, no flour or wheat flavour, it is well blended with the soup, so it is really awesome. The one I ordered is with the grilled eggplant... man this is SUPERB. Well grilled, mushy, full of flavour and eggplant smell. And the other other thing that I really really like is that you can order the side dishes you like to go with your bowl of ramen. So I chose the Onsen Egg (Duh!), the bamboo shoot slices, the black fungus, and for the next trip--extra spring onions! My bowl is vegetarian option so the broth is still thick full of flavour. I think it is made of sesame seed milk. It is really amazing, I'm still reminiscing about the taste....so gooood! Last but NOT LEAST, the service is 5 stars, fast, attentive, good speed in serving, ask to give water, clearing is also fast... So as I say you are getting very efficient and caring service. Very Japanese! You have to go early, the branch at Shaw House is not as crowded as the other outlets. But 6.30pm would be safe. Go! Now! ”

“ Ippudo’s ramen will never go wrong. The extra spicy is so additive. Super spicy and the soup is great. Char siew and the onsen egg is the best. Very large space for this outlet. ”

“ Absolutely delicious ramen! The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles had the perfect texture, and the toppings were fresh and well-portioned. The service was impressively quick ⏩, and the staff were friendly and attentive. To top it all off, the prices are very affordable , making it a great spot for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. Highly recommend for anyone craving quality ramen at a great value! I would recommend the Akatsuki Ramen, the flavour was way stronger and we liked it a lot more. Salmon Carpaccio was good too! ”
